Shit I just remembered...my dad gave my teachers his approval to spank me when I was a kid. They never had to because I was good...and I wonder why.
After watching my aunt and uncle raise their wild kids I realized that all it really takes is to enforce the rules when they're young...when they get older they won't even understand why they listen to the people they're supposed to be listening to. You are not your kids friend, you are preparing them for their future.
