so i'm traumatized and venting here because this seems the place to do it, as, until now, the most traumatic thing that had ever happened to me was this thread. but hey get this noise: the work permit application is in, but these xenophobic basturts who call themselves the "home office" have gone and changed the rules on us all of a sudden like and now you don't just need to have your work permit and your already-issued five-year visa, you also have to send in your passport and an application for some new-fangled "leave to remain visa" in this country along with THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FIVE POUNDS STERLING! what the hell is the world coming to and y'all haven't even had your gabloody elections yet. this nightmare is getting worse by the minute and suddenly i'm starting to feel like i AM fucking gabloody kafka. how do you get around this mess, vespa, you got one o' them irish grandpappys or summat? christ on a crutch.
