yummy. valla is pretty nasty.
it infects win32 files in the windows/winnt and system directories.
binds to the the files directly. but it keeps reinfecting win32 files...which is why you get the pop up. norton isn't catching them all.
removal seems easy enough, though...do in order
1) disable the stupid windows system restore crap
2) make sure you have current virus definitions
3) reboot into safe mode
4) run nortonrestart and see if it gets it all.
'bloodhound' is a norton variable appended to a virus found that norton doesn't have a definition for.
basically, norton doesn't know what the virus/exploit is...so it calls it bloodhound.xxxx
make sure you have the latest definitions.
