yeah i love the old, who needs to turn off a computer concept.
in a perfect "parts aren't the most cost effective, reduce the labour cost also, hey, who'll notice if the fan isn't quite right" world that would be great but ye gods, my new imac gets to about 3000° C in 15 minutes while working in a liquid cooled bubble below the earths crust. a few days and you'd be sunbathing in front of it.
