If you're ever out in cali again, a bunch of designers you probably know or are connected through one person or two all surf. They snowboard in the winter, surf in the summer. It would be fun if you didn't go to a beach with a bunch of weird locals or one thats crowded. there are plenty of good spots to learn though. Definitely come out.
I've been really into snowboarding the last 4 years or so. That year I let a guy's girlfriend barrow my surf board and I never got it back (hoor). I didn't bother getting another. I want a longboard now tho. Instead of physical ed. at my high school, you could choose surf club in the morning at 7am before school. It was cool. It was ridiculously Californian.
