That's not even the problem visible- the problem is that people dont like the fact that religion does not change it's rules to suit the incionvience of the world. Why not- becuase to them if you followed their rules in the first place there would be no such inconveniences.
Do I believe this? Not particularly but I would expect the LEADER of the catholic church to follow the rules of the church.
Catholics refusing to bend is not the reason AIDS exsist anywhere- in Africa they are there to talk of their beliefs to their followers- if you follow the rules, condoms are not a solution- if you don't follow their rules- why try to get condoms from the Pope- go to another organizaition who has a different viewpoint on the subject.
A reminder the Pope is not the President of Africa or the free world- he is the head of the church, he is reasonable to sprending the views of the church.
I do not agree with a lot this said church has to say- but I do respect his efforts throughout his career to bring his people and nations together- within and outside the church- and would never blam an old man in a funny hat for not giving in to his beliefs or for promoting AIDS.
yeah the Dalai Liama is a strong inforcer of condoms.
Here is an insert from his own viewpoint on sex itself:
" the practice of celibacy is not just a rule. Our target is to try to reduce
negative emotions. Sexual desire and attachment are enjoyable, but act as a
basis to anger, hatred and jealousy. "
