It's scary how the man is iconized in Poland. Old people pray to the pope instead of god. Recently a journalist was sued for 'insulting the pope as a head of the vatican state visiting our country'. He'd written that torturing a sick old man by carrying him around the world to perform shows was more of a circus than religion and was pathetic.
The journalist was pronounced guilty and fined.
I see the pope as a positive person, but with no control over the machine around him.
