but the way walmart designed their inventory system is a testament to design being important. it's all computer driven and automated. that's why they are able to keep prices so low; by keeping the proper invnetories of what people are buying and not buying.
design is by far the most important aspect of our society. information is now a commodity and someone has to organize it all so the public can discrimnate, disseminate and ultimately consume.
