That's bizzarre, I fell off mine twice at Glentress yesterday. Nothing as spectacular as your though by the sound of it.
Was being a bit brave/stupid, though fuck it, no brakes, hit the scree on the way down just before a corner and ended up flying into the trees. Couldn't seem to turn right for some reason, like a mental block or something. Second time was on an uphill - was clipped in, came to a really tight corner and started to fall to the left. Foot wouldn't come out of the SPD so I just thought I'd fall and see what happens. Chunky cut to the knee and a massive swelling bruise on the shin. Can't lift up my right arm today either.
