ganon just about gave you the biggest slap in your font management ignorance ridden face.
suitcase is the best. another good one is font reserve. i've noticed that font reserve seems a bit more stable to me, however, you cant view the fonts all that easily. actually, come to think of it, my old computer is the one that was having the problems, with the new one, i dont think that i have ever had any problems
