its funny because, once again, everyone is talking about it like Apple just invented something new... Iam doing this with my Meta Quest 2 since months! Its the same thing.

And after using the Meta Quest for a few months I can say, yes, its super cool, its super impressive, its clearly the future. But its a gadget who collect dust after a few days, except if you play a lot of games... Otherwise, no one will work with those.

Its going to be a real thing when they minimize it to the size of normal glasses.

    • it would be something new if it would be in the size of normal glasses with the same picture quality and features.sted
    • exactly, and its not for tomorrowHAL9001
    • the main impressive thing is 23 million pixels. apparently each pixel the size of red blood cell.ephix
    • yeah thats impressive, and I guess thats the only point for asking 3000$+ for it while the MetaQuest is like 450$HAL9001
    • i agree that a lot of these will gather dust. i certainly won't be getting one.ephix
    • yeah I've had VR since 2017. There's a limit to how long you want anything like that on your head. And VR is all fun rather than fucking admin.MrT
    • @HAL You mean Google glasses?milfhunter
    • The thing is, apple does it right. Thats the big difference with any other company.milfhunter
    • Meta quest is AR also?monospaced
    • Meta Quest 3 is full ARHAL9001
    • But totally different experiences. Apple has eye tracking, hand tracking and lidar. And they are polished. Quest has buggy hand tracking. That’s it.monospaced
    • Resolution on the Vision Pro is like, what, 4-6x higher? It’s like 3.5x more pixels on each eye. Processor runs circles around quest also.monospaced
    • yeah of course, the Apple one is more powerful, but the Meta Quest 2/3 are a fraction of the price for almost the same amount of fun/featuresHAL9001
