Why aren't there astrology departments in Universities? Why don't we have an Astrological Consultant for the military? For the federal reserve? Why doesn't Vegas use astrology in betting? Because it can't make accurate predictions.
Astrology doesn't meet the rigors to work as a scientific explanation for how the universe operates. If astrology were anything more than entertainment (or mentally therapeutic for the believer) then it would be widely used as a prediction tool and be readily adopted by society for its future foresight.
If there were an independent peer reviewed academic paper that proved Astrology was a viable tool to make predictions, it'd be a shoe-in for the Nobel Prize.
