    anyone here ever grow their own shrooms?

    I'm looking at these shroom grow kits

    I read that the Golden teacher strain is easier to grow than others

    • I'd use an aquarium over a bag. Keep your temperature well-regulated. Watch your humidity. STERILISE, STERILISE, STERILISE - KEEP EVERYTHING FUCKING CLEAN.Nairn

    • I say 'aquarium' - anything clear, solid and pseudo-sealable enough to act as such will do. Bags just end up breaking shrooms or dribbling water too muchNairn
    • When they start fruiting, if you're going to be away for more than 'fucking fifteen minutes, oh god' whilst they do so, cull before they sporulate.Nairn
    • The mycelium is what has the magic - it doesn't matter if 'it looks like a shroom', so don't fuck all subsequent shrooms by letting one wank all over the place.Nairn
    • Fucking spore-fucking is a pain. Also - the smaerter you are when harvesting/cleaning old stock, maintaining, the more value you'll get from your brick.Nairn
    • If you're REALLY fucking clever, you can make your old brick spawn a new one too. Saves you having to fuck with spore prints or whatever in future.Nairn
