Having a fun time with the mini version.
With regard to the Dall-E 2 version that's cranking out these ridiculous and amazing higher fidelity images, where does everyone fall on scenarios like these:
- The band who wants something wildly conceptual on an album cover, that would originally require an artist, multiple concepts, $$$, and time, who can now use Dall-E 2 and come up with something original and unique on their own without anyone really knowing an AI created it?
- The artist hired to create original artwork who can now use this to churn out crazy ideas in mere minutes, spending a fraction of the time they might usually spend, never tell the client, and charge them exactly what they would for months of work vs. minutes?
- no different than Andy Warhol using helpers or any other artist in history using helpers. Concept is key._niko
- the charging part is tricky, it'll be a race to the bottom unfortunately. someone who's just as clever as you will undercut like crazy until all art is worthles_niko
- Concept is key, definitely. But I look at the example down there of Mario sculpture in Greece, and it's nuts. What would that take in a design program?mg33
- What would it take to build that out and photograph it?mg33
- the ends justify the means?
I look air some art and think, who's got 1000 hours to spend making this thing, what level of autism does it require?_niko - @_nike well that's the art part
taking the time, effort, vision...grafician - Not the art, the time and skill is the craft, art is the concept I think..._niko
