Happy Monday all. Bumping this thread.
I have no problem finding work, but it's time to diversify, Upwork is charging even more. Any online sites you've been using to find gigs in your region and/or specialty?
I have a feeling if I put more energy into Linkedin it will pay off. Can anyone confirm?
- Spend about 10 minutes every couple days networking on LinkedIn and you’ll certainly find work... it’s pretty easy to game the LI algorithmnb
- It’s not optimized for freelance, so do this: look under “Jobs” for anywhere hiring a full time role that you could theoretically fill if you had time....nb
- ...then message the head/VP/director of design and tell them you’re open to freelance work and send your portfolio.nb
- Nearly 100% of agencies that are hiring are short-staffed, at least in the states.nb
- Thanks for your advice nb... I also remember they had some kind of Preferred Freelancer network at some point, not sure if still in the works or an experimentcanoe
- I use Toptal, has a pretty rigorous onboarding process, but I've enjoyed it quite a bit. Also, usebraintrust.com looks good too.mathinc
