It’s been less than a day and I’m exhausted from people reporting Facebook’s news of their name change as if they’re changing the name of THIS app. They are changing the name of the parent company that manages Facebook, Instagram, Oculus Rift, WhatsApp, and whatever else and whatever else they own. It is no different than what Google did several years ago when they change the name of the parent company to alphabet, because Google was one of many different products under that umbrella.
They are never going to change the name of the FB app.

- they simply separate the corporate from the product branding, i'm not sure that it will go like Google, since Alphabet is a separated company that owns *.Googlested
- There is no instagram inc, or oculus llc, those are all brands owned by facebook inc.sted
