dave, i dont think connan made fun of french canadians. I was talking to people here at work, and actually what he did that was innapropriate was to "say" that it was "wrong" to speak french, and that we needed to speak the language of north america ... ??!! thats like travvelling through time and going back to 1950 and having "Speak white!" said to us. ... so basically it's not just an issue of having to "light up" but more of noting that fact that language is something french canadians have been fightiung for for over 50 years and being told that that is wrong. I mean ... people died for this cause, and mister big forehead comes up to our country, in a province where the "conflict" french english is the "strongest", and basically says that we are stupid for wanting to speak french and conserve our culture. So meok I agree with you, every culture has to be respected and admired and discovered. But connan did not do that, he did the opposite. Humor or not, thats not funny. There are thousands of other subject he could have mocked, but he had to pick that one in particilar?
anyways I personnally am not offended but I do think he made a mistake.
