Honest question; does anyone here identify as any of the following:

    1. Proud Boy
    2. White Nationalist
    3. Patriot
    4. Racial Purist

If so what makes you one but not the other?

Doesn’t matter what country you live in by the way, this isn’t exclusive to Americans. I’m legitimately intrigued by isolationism and how it’s percolating from groups like the above to everyday people who would never consider themselves “racist”.

    • i'm not getting why the word patriot is on this liststed
    • ^because general sentiment is you are inherently a racist or immoral person if you are proud of USA.hotroddy
    • and it makes Canadians feel morally superior. Just like BLM folkshotroddy
    • Patriotism is a form of supremacy. It stays.CyBrainX
    • really? maybe in the states, but where i come from it isn't.sted
    • Patriot is not isolationist, white supremacist, or racist. Shifting definitions by generalizing in context makes you complicit in how we cant talk or think.cannonball1978
    • The definition is changing by the hour. @hotroddy, there are plenty of all the above in canada, don’t be a fuckwit.ben_
    • Patriot is becoming rapidly synonymous with the others in the states. Maybe not true in other countries, but I suspect what happens in America will solidify theben_
    • Definition the world over. I also didn’t say they were all the same, I asked if you see yourself as one or the other, how it differs. Jeezeben_
    • Hayoth and Deathboy selected all of the above.utopian
    • No, the definition is not changing by the hour.cannonball1978
    • from my perspective, I would say the patriots are the people who care about the country, so they want the infected orange monkey out of the office...rzu-rzu
    • ...from my experience those who are the loudest to call themselves patriots rarely are true patriotsrzu-rzu
    • exactly. patriotism is something what you don't carry in your mouth, but in your heart.sted
    • Fair enough. I included it because of the encroachment of nationalistic tendencies being cloaked in “patriotism” but I’m glad your guys are pointing out theben_
    • Difference to you.ben_

    • But I guess the answer so far is no one would identify publicly as any of the above... except maybe a patriot if under the right definition.ben_
