Found this Hero Ally SS rusting neglected outside a library a while back, so I left a note on it offering to buy it. Got a call and paid $100 for it as it had taco'd wheels.

Stripped and rebuilt it with new rims and breaks so I can ride trails with my 9 year old, so fun.

    • That’s awesome. Looks like a fun bike.ben_
    • Rad ride! Were all the other parts salvageable aside from the wheels and brakes?nocomply
    • It was pretty toasted, The only original parts are frame, fork, cranks, bb, hubs. I had most of the other stuff around from other bikes so only had to buy rimsslappy
    • haha, neat - was the person you paid the $100 to the owner though? I can imagine some tyke seeing that and going home to get an angle grinder...Nairn
    • He had the keys to the lock and seemed legit, he got the bike from a local bike swap meet, was in terrible shape too.slappy
