R.I.P. Mike Huckaby
I worked with him at Record Time, and we lived in the same apartment complex, hung out plenty, and he gave off an incredible vibe.
Clark Warner summed it up well with,
"Huck was always educating, sharing and grounded in what he was doing that it pressed you to think about what YOU were doing."
His contribution to house and techno is going to be missed on many levels, from his music, to his teaching Detroit inner city kids synthesis and music production/Ableton.
Very sad day, everyone on Facebook is posting his music and story... as expected. :-(
- He seemed like an absolute gentleman in any video clips I’ve seen him talking in. A genuine loss to electronic music whose influence will live on. RIP.mort_
