So from what I understand - you guys just need to fix your political system before asking for anything else.

You're just doing it wrong! Your entire political system is basically a joke.

Throw away your 2 party system, look into this thing called "Social democracy" - "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S...

...where you basically pay almost half of what you make in taxes and you get in exchange free decent perks - like universal health care, elderly care, child care, free public education, almost free or ridiculously cheap public transportation, guaranteed minimum wages, police that actually cares for law and order, free speech, minorities rights, immigration rights, great broadband internet, whatever etc.

You can also have as many political parties as you want - you just need to raise 500k-1mil signatures of willing people to signup, then establish a new party - left, center left, center - we're not keen on right parties, but those are tolerated too. There's a "green" party for people that care about the environment, there's even a pirate party in Sweden I believe...but the best part is: EVERY VOTE COUNTS!

(You can have 10-20 people running for president from different parties or even independent guys (kinda like Bloomberg who is not a real Democrat actually, he just has lots of money and wants the seat/influence) - they can all run for President, you can vote for whomever you like, then you count the total votes for each candidate and the best one wins. Simple enuff?)

Plus all this is plugged into the capitalist machine - if you earn & pay more, you get premium/upgraded services, but the free perks are decent/good/great already depending on how rich the country is - here in Europe the North has the best public schools, child care, social security programs, etc. as they are making 5-10x more than the South of Europe.

Sure, we're not living a utopia here in Europe, we got our problems, but nothing that can come close to what you guys experience.

Bernie is a social democrat - not a socialist!

He basically proposes you guys "import" this social democrat system that we have in Europe - or at least the basic ideas/perks - and make it work for the US. Plain and simple. You don't even have to import the metric system ffsake!

BUT to make this really work, Bernie needs at least 2 terms in office and the support of at least half the country, no exceptions! It's gonna be hard work, and he is really old to work at that level.

Best next thing, vote for that girl Warren, she's smart and driven, then get her to invite Bernie as Vice President and together they can implement Bernie's ideas and much more.

    Sounds good? Go and vote.

p.s. you can get a 'free trial' of this social democracy game by just living for a few years in Europe...
