Upwork is charging more on both sides - client and contractor. I find that pretty disturbing considering they make $10 on every hour I work... so in the past year they made some ten grand off of me alone. I wonder what the problem is...
I find Upwork to be a great supplement to my income. And, when everything is in place I am able to turn down work and find projects that will enhance my portfolio... rather than only taking work to pay bills.
