Am at the in-laws who have a proper TV, rather than us yokels who don't and watch everything on a computer, so this was the first episode I've watched in HiDef Gogglevision - I was quite surprised at how plastic looking a lot of of it is, especially the dragons.

Perhaps I need to change the settings on the TV - what was that thing going around last year about turning off interpolation, or something?

    • smart view, auto motion plus, ... depending on the tv brand.uan
    • If I was still in high school, the adjustment would be made with a little blotter paper.
      That always made things proper.

    • Thanks, uan - that looks like it!

I'm not sure what you're referring to, antimotion?

    • yeah you need to turn of motion smoothing, or motion plus or whatever dum shit that tv company calls it.inteliboy
    • also it will keep switching back on, every so often or if there is a power outage. so I'd check it every time you are at your inlawsinteliboy

    • Was it streamed on HBO Go or on cable. Most streaming outside of netflix has that plastic look. Also, any "motion" settings kill the vibe too.section_014
    • @antimotion - ahh, hahaha, I was taking you far too 'practically' initially! :)Nairn
    • @section - on Satellite TVNairn
    • Yeah, turn off 'soap opera' setting...it looks terrible.Akagiyama
