Criticism of destructive behaviour, irrational ideology and overt discrimination should be appropriate in any circumstance.

It is misguided and dishonest to project the questionable behaviour and attitudes of a small minority of men on to all men. It is also misguided and dishonest to project the questionable behaviour and attitudes of a small minority of women of to all women. To do so is group think and identity politics at it's very worse.

    • I assume it too but what's your evidence to say it's a "small minority"? I hear frequent stories of harassment from my female friends so I wonder how small.lowimpakt
    • I suppose it depends on you and your female friends definition of harassment. Let me know what that is and i can hazard a guess.Morning_star
    • cat calling, male drivers (usual vans) beeping while driving past, groping in clubs/gigs, a few rapes.lowimpakt
    • I wouldn't describe rape as harassment, it's a horrific and serious crime.Apart from that, I would stick with 'a small minority'. The reality of the situation..Morning_star
    • ..suggests that there are very few men that would act this way, but those that do are the same 'men' who are whistling, beeping and groping. Its is also worth..Morning_star
    • ...considering that women of a certain age, attractiveness and social nature will garner more harassment than most.Morning_star
    • This was great. Thanks for sharing.cannonball1978
