Noob Question - So I got this cruiser and it came complete with these trucks, but no riser pads. It's been a damn long time since I paid attention to hardware. Is no riser pads a thing now? Or did I get a bum deal? The board seems to ride fine fwiw.
- If it rides fine, you're comfortable, and there's no wheelbite then you are totally good.nocomply
- If you have the trucks adjusted to where your carve/turns are comfortable and you don't get any wheelbite on the deck I'd say you're good.jonny_quest_lives
- Riser pads would extend the life of the board as they take the pressure off the wood where the trucks would usually be resting directly against the deck.jonny_quest_lives
- apologies to nocomply... didn't read his comment.jonny_quest_lives
- Yeah you might get more pressure cracks in the deck without risers, but I've never seen one of those cracks actually lead to a snapped board in all my life.nocomply
- Or maybe it's just that I hardly ever snap boards.nocomply
