When younger people at work keep on making plans to go out drinking at least 3 times a week. I keep telling them that I am tired because I actually am.
They don't seem to get that I already went through that drinking phase while in school and the first couple of years I started working, that I no longer find that whole drinking thing at noisy places that enjoyable, and that I have other concerns that make me be a little wiser when it comes to spending my money.
Not gonna throw down the toilet (literally) 30-40 bucks, 3 times a week for no reason.
- drinking at noisy places is so bad. i used to love it. age has taught me a new lesson now. go out to talk to people. I never talked when at noisy places.capn_ron
- it's annoying and distracting. Raising my voice and asking what they just said gets really annoying real fast now.VectorMasked
- A patio with some drinks and tapas while we can all speak and see each other is a zillion times more enjoyable.VectorMasked
- Last time I went with these guys to a noisy bar followed by this bar/niteclub and at this club I was like "This club crowd is obnoxious... too old 4 this shit"VectorMasked
- Kinda felt sorry for all those 30-year-old+ still doing the club thing and still acting like 22.VectorMasked
- i remember having fun before. not sure what i got from it, but yeah, a chill spot with good tunes at a level you can chat is perfect for me now.capn_ron
