Just had a bit of an epiphany. I think the new prank call is looking for ways to have extensive off-topic conversations with customer service people who appear in a chat tool when you're visiting a website, like a product site, service site, etc. You know how those chat features just pop up to ask if you have questions, and if so you're connected to someone (unless it's a chatbot).
That could make for some clever and hilarious conversations.
