    I've turned into my Father. I mean, I have been for years anyway, but now musically too.

    There's a 'web radio station' in an adjacent studio and they've got their door open whilst someone plays a set. It's generic hard-ish house music, the sort of stuff i used to get off my box and listen to nearly 20 years ago when I wasn't listening to techno, drum and bass or ..shudder.. trance.

    Here now, I can pretty much only hear the bass and for the past hour or so it's been a repetitive, never ending Bum-tsch Bum-tsch Bum-tsch Bum-tsch Bum-tsch Bum-tsch Bum-tsch Bum-tsch Bum-tsch Bum-tsch Bum-tsch and honestly, it's fucking dull.

    My father used to deride my music as 'washing machine music' whe I'd play it in my room or the car, or wherever - which, when you can't hear all the overlaying details and non-bass notes, is exactly what it is.

    fucking. boring.
