I'm about to turn 46, and my wife and I have been saving money and doing rrsp's etc for ages. I don't have a pension (work as the CD of a software company here in toronto area...so it's just whatever I can save, essentially.
My wife, on the other hand is a teacher, and as a result, has an insanely good pension.
ontop of this, we have the house we own...which is worth a fair chunk at this point due to the housing market...my guess is that we'll do ok-ish...
not going to be fabulously wealthy by any stretch, but shouldn't be hurting at all...And like many of you, while I may retire from full-time work etc, at some point i'm sure...i don't imagine I'll ever retire from design work as a whole...just enjoy it too much...
