I semi-retired a few years ago in my late 30's. Meaning I don't work a full-time job anymore. Instead I sorta changed career from a designer/art director to become a painter/artist, so I work as and when I like.

I own a property near the coast, when the weather (in UK) is nice, I can go for long walks along the coast, beaches, breath in the sea air, or bike around the countryside. I mainly chill, watching boxsets and movies, as I'm a big movie buff.

I do bits of design work from time to time, not paid, just stuff for me, as I rarely go a day without some idea whirling around my head. Remnants from working in the advertising industry. But, recently have had an itch to get back into designing. I find during the winter (when its cold), things can get a little boring, as everything slows down. But summertime is great. Roll on summer.

    • Boredom is a good thing for artists. Makes our minds wonder.mugwart
    • I'd do anything to have this and working on projects I care about this. I'm trying to write software that can help me get to this but I'm a bit broken and burntmugwart
    • out which is making me panic.mugwart
