Out of curiosity has anyone else's phone been recording hundreds of random snippets of conversations for several years? Trying to move away from Google services so I've been switching off all their data collection stuff. this one is particularly creepy as I barley use my phone, and certainly no voice assist crap.
- I disabled it on the first day I got an android phone. The annoying thing is the Google helper thingy still popup but doesn't actually do anything.pango
- yeah, i had that "OK Google" thing off on Android too but not the main Google setting - somehow was still triggering it to record!kingsteven
- I also denied all permission from the start. That way when applying asks for it I know which one has what permission s.pango
- My pixel is a clusterfuck of obscure settings and google makes a nightmare of a confused os. This is just one more piece of bullshit.monospaced
