Went out for a work thing Friday night with a new potential writing partner. I took him to a movie premiere. Before the night was up we decided to grab a drink. He took 2 sips, and passed out standing up, mid sentence.
We hadn't been drinking much. We had 1 pregame shot and a blunt before we got to the bar. So after I picked him up off the floor and got him outside, I suggested he make a Dr. appointment this week because that was weird and not drug or alcohol related. He said maybe he was standing too long, but we were only standing for 20 minutes including the walk to the bar, and we sat through a 2 hour movie. He said this has happened of other time but he was heavily drinking/partying and didn't think much of it. I say, the fact that it happened not drinking much at all is why he should get checked out.
Since I grew up on Doogie Houser and my mom wanted me to be a doctor, my guess is blood pressure, circulation issues of some sort, diabetes or hypoglycemia. I wonder how close I am.
