...a little pick me up this morning. My dad who moved here, NYC in '69 from Trinidad and Tobago - straight to Park Slope - when it was deemed a warzone. Worked in construction (45 years).
I thought that he lost his love for creating after retirement. He is still pretty strong after prostate issues, and being in ICU for an ulcer (invasive surgery) in 2009.
He recently took on remodeling the bathroom in the house he bought and has lived in for 22 yrs. Kind of proud (he's doing it single handedly, he's always been that way -- going to go up to the house tomorrow to document bits of his process :)
