I need to back up my files. My current usb flash drive is really slow but its from several years ago. I need something fast and reasonably priced that holds at least 64gb. I prefer a usb flash drive over a external hd, unless the hd is way faster.
- have you thought about adding an online service? I use iDrive and am very happy (2TB for $55/yr). I've used Carbonite in the past and was very happy...PonyBoy
- ... with their service also. DropBox (file sharing) sucks for such things... you have to maintain it. iDrive and the like require you add 'watch' folders...PonyBoy
- ... anytime you update / add a file to one of those folders it'll be updated / backed-up by the service. Takes a couple weeks to do your first backup of course.PonyBoy
- Nice suggestion PB, but I want something faster. Thankspinkfloyd
- Any decent external SSD with usb 3.0 will be an improvement for you. But I wouldn’t do any hardware backup without doing a cloud backup also.monospaced
- I have a hd hooked up to Airport Extreme for auto TM backups. all important documents in iCloud drivefourth
- For hardware back up. LaCie dual rugged 4tb. Or 2tb when raid. Yes it has 2 harddrive within the enclosure. When 1 failed you can still access the file.pango
