"The fire began about 4 miles from us and then when the winds changed, on the other side of us it was 2 miles away. I didn't even realize there was a fire as I never have tv on during the day. I was blissfully drinking coffee and doing laundry. Then my friend called me. Then the Sheriff Dept. called and advised of a mandatory evacuation. We did have to evacuate for almost 3 days."
From my Aunt (75) who single-handedly takes care of my Gram (96)... I've been trying to get ahold of them over a week and finally heard from them late this evening. Scary shit... hope everyone and theirs are okay.
