In all seriousness... if you're mobile make your way to Scottsdale Old Town... you'll find plenty of bars / music / food / art / tourist bullshit. Or you could head over to Tempe and wander Mill Ave (ASU's "College town" Main St)... you will encounter a ton of bars / food... kids.

We do actually have plenty of good food here (Scottsdale is on the map as a 'foodie' town—you'll see a lot of our overpriced restaurants on Food Network type shows etc)... you're just not going to find them in 'downtown' Phoenix. As a matter of fact, Phoenix 'downtown' is nothing but corpo and gov offices that shut down @ 7pm unless there is a Baseball game going on... don't bother w/downtown... absolute waste of your time.

Oh... we now have the largest aquarium on the west coast (bigger than anything San Diego has... go figure)... it's up in North Snottsdale and it IS FUCKING COOL. If you're will to drop the money you can even get in the pool w/the dolphins.

You can also head over to one of the casinos off the 101 (east of Scottsdale)... okay food... poker... hookers.

In all honesty though... just stay home.

    • when are you going to be here, freedom?PonyBoy
    • actually... there are a few good restaurants DT too... but not like over Snubsdale or TempePonyBoy
    • Pony, when is the last time you've been downtown? I think it's changed a lot.studderine
    • it's been a while studderine... but if you're talking the Monorchid area(Roosevelt / 7th ave... Art walk spots etc) I avoid that crap like the plaguePonyBoy
    • specifically because the developers who turned that area into what it is are all douchebags of the highest sort - 'used-to-be' creatives w/lots of thievery...PonyBoy
    • ... from their own 'creative community' in the past to put the money in their pockets so they're able to gentrify that shitty old area to their 'hip' likingPonyBoy
    • (and in turn rent out space back to those creatives they rarely paid fairly in the first place)PonyBoy
    • ^ I understand, but that happens with every hip area. Other areas of Downtown have developed in my opinion (I was out there late last year).studderine
