There's a glaringly misleading story out there about explosive material the shooter in Las Vegas had in his car. The Las Vegas Journal Review is running a story with the headline "Explosive possessed by Stephen Paddock may have been used in NYC bombing." They then explain that Tannerite "is unregulated and legally used by marksmen to create targets that emit a small cloud of smoke when they are struck."

They make it sound like he was involved in the NYC bombing. Saying that it "may have been used in the NYC bombing" is like saying "toilet paper used by Stephen Paddock may have been used by John Doe in Scranton, Ohio." See how stupid that sounds? They're failing to explain that Tannerite is widely available and the fact that it was used in New York has no connection whatsoever to the shooter in LV. Hell, go on YouTube and search "tannerite" and you'll find a hundred videos of people target shooting with it.

TL;DR: News media writing goes further and further down the toilet by the day.

    • yeah then they complain when people search for news 'else where'mugwart
    • chances are that the Las Vegas Journal Review is in the pockets of a conservative group protecting gun rightsmonospaced
