    • haha, Amusingly I've spent this week costing up a much, much bigger version of that sort of laser widget.detritus
    • I think I could make an equivalent device to that thing for about £50... although it wouldn't have any of the all-important software.detritus
    • Fucking Galvos, man - how do they work?detritus
    • can you use it to fucking blind a motherfucker?sarahfailin
    • Yup, although more than likely just accidental permanent photoreceptor damage. Yaaay?detritus
    • Having actually watched the video through to the end, I don't think this is worth three hundred bucks. Better off with some shitty Chinese Arduino kit for $150.detritus
    • Still quite a neat toy though.detritus
    • How would this work on human skin? Asking for a friend.face_melter
    • It would hurt a bit. Burny lasers aren't great where water's concerned, so it'll scorch teh epidermal layers, then just hurt. You'd have to keep in place longerdetritus
    • ...than you'd be willing to to do any real damage. Even on the sort of laser cutter I have here, it's hard to do much with anything wet.detritus
    • it can really fuck eyes though.detritus
    • Ah. Ok. Thanks.face_melter
