Gave a graffiti workshop and after an initial day to teach some Graffiti History, watch a couple of videos about Graffiti and some basics in how to use a spray can and to be careful with things. We also cut some stencils and draw some sketches.

    Today was painting day.

So the initial ten kids had decided as a group with some suggestions of mine to spark their imagination to paint the wall the following way:

Half of the wall was a city the other half a jungle/forest.
The city was in day light and the jungle in the night.
In the jungle there was a waterfall.

In the city's sky the sun and a plane with a banner where the initials of the youth center plus the door number and kids written in the end like "PTU 576 KIDS".

In the jungle's sky a moon and starts (stencil) and a

The city and forest are full with animals (animal invasion) and there's stencils of flowers and insects. In the lake form by the waterfall there's fish (stencils).

In the middle there are letters that say "Animal Power". These letters are in shape of objects:

A - Giraffe with the head and neck in front of the legs.
    N - a snake forming a "N"
    I - a penguin
    M - a spider in front view
    A - a golden pyramid
L - half human leg with a sock and a shoe

    P - a cartoon T-Rex
    O - a donut
    W - color pencils forming a "W"
E - a rabbit drawn by a 8 year old in the form of an "E"
    R - a "R" with eyes and horse feet(?)

Above the letters there's a pink unicorn being abducted by an ufo piloted by a monkey.

From the initial ten only six showed up and two decided to quit after two hours painting, one was came today already a bit sick.

Still they managed to paint practically all wall except for the sky's alone and, they sketched everything alone. I just marked the spots for the composition.

I helped them giving tips and some spray can here and there.
    Almost no drips!

The weather was warm, 25ยบ Celsius, and we had shadow spots.

Today was also the last day of a two day workshop and in the end everybody who participated plus the youth center instructors and the parents were really like "Wow!"

Because it wasn't completely finished and with the wall, their project, starting to pop-out the kids had grown in enthusiasm and self-demanding in a joyous way we decided to have an extra afternoon to finish the rest of the details.

You will picture the wall in different ways and maybe it sounds better for some than it looks like but still I'm very happy, so the kids, and it's really a nice wall.

I will post pictures after it's finished.
