^ Isn't that first link actually saying that Saudi Arabia funds Muslim extremism?

    https://www.theguardian.com/uk-n…

“It is no secret that Saudi Arabia in particular provides funding to hundreds of mosques in the UK, espousing a very hardline Wahhabist interpretation of Islam. It is often in these institutions that British extremism takes root.”

The Saudis along with Qatar have also been trying to overthrow Assad in Syria and a major part of this was funding and arming Islamist fighters including ISIS. Part of the war of Sunni Muslim countries against Iran.

This was even directly stated by Hilary Clinton in the Wikileaks emails:

"we need to use our diplomatic and more traditional intelligence assets to bring pressure on the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region."

Of course the US and UK give money and sell weapons to the Saudis (Trump just made the largest weapons sale in history to them). And they appear to be covering for them, otherwise why is this not a much bigger story considering how much the media talks about ISIS.

    • Aside from selling weapons to Saudi an end to the decades long bombing and general fucking up of the region may help matters.fadein11

    • It's all a charade. Fund this one, fund that one, on and on it goes...if we cared to sort it out we could, but solutions serve few.formed
