I'm on a train leaving Manhattan and watching the girl sitting in front of me obsessively refresh a selfie she took in the city. It's been 15 minutes and she's hit the refresh arrow at least 4 million times. She takes a few seconds to Snapchat but always back to her really bad selfie. Are people really like this? She won't stop and I can tell she has a problem if she's that self absorbed she can't stop checking for likes.
- She'll pull up the photo. Swipe down to reload. Then rapidly hit he arrow at least 40-50 times as fast as she can in a couple seconds. Zooms in on face, repeat.monospaced
- Over and over the same photo. Her battery must be dying and she's still at it. It's been 20 min solid now and she won't take a break.monospaced
