Everything on this planet is here for a reason, and got a role to play, every twigs, every plants, every animals and so on.....Except for humans....what is our purpose on earth?

    • May I enquire as to how you've come to the conclusion that everything other than Humans has a reason to exist?Morning_star
    • The idea of needing to have a purpose is just a human nonsenseset
    • i'm talking about the foodchain.
Talking about, the cycle of life.

    • We are certainly part of the cycle and chain of life on this planet.monospaced
    • Bees pollinise. Fox's regulate the rabbits and rodents populations. Worms regulate the soils. What do we do?ApeRobot
    • We are the only species on this planet
that is not living in tune with his environment. We destroy everything.

    • If you say so.monospaced
    • Well we once kept certain animal populations down by hunting, and we'd sew seeds through agriculture. Now we mostly just fuck everything up.set
    • @monospaced i'm asking a questine, not saying that what i say is true.ApeRobot
    • It's a good question. I sincerely believe it's naive to think we are in any way above nature's constraints. Not saying I'm right either.monospaced
    • I sincerely believe our purpose is the same as every living thing: to propagate the species.monospaced
    • Maybe ,we are a mistake of evolution.
Should have stay in the forest.
Maybe be we were not supposed
to go this far in our evolution.

    • What Set said ^. 'Purpose' is a human construction. Not unlike God.Morning_star
    • Personally I think it's amazing that nature allowed a self aware, conscious and inquisitive mind to evolve. I believe it has happened many times in the universemonospaced
    • It's pretty hard to bring in the ideas of wrong and right when it comes to the evolution of life. Especially since we are it's product. ;)monospaced
    • It is a uniquely western concept that we are abominations, astray from natures purpose, lost and without proper direction (exile from eden, born into sin).monospaced
