It's been a while since I've used the External Compositing Tag and I can't get anything out of it at all. All I want is default position information for clone elements. I went beyond that to create a test file with one cube that has an external compositing tag. When I extract in After Effects, all I get is the camera. Am I missing a step?
I'm using R17.
- > You have to put a null as a child of the object you want to track in Cinema 4D. But that only tracks your main clone object as if the cloner were disabled.CyBrainX
- I looked at this tutorial but I don't think aec files work anymore. And this doesn't work with CIneware. https://vimeo.com/83…CyBrainX
- you have to import the c4d file into after effects, throw it on a new comp and then click extract from the cneware plugin, it will extract any camera, light..feel
- ... or external comp tags you have, and it won't work on a cloner, unless you break it into multiple objectsfeel
- Yeah, I'm not getting the info from the cloner. I'm going to have to do what I want in C4D. It's amazing they haven't worked this out yet.CyBrainX
