    If you have an iPad/iPhone then you might want to check out apps like http://www.touch-able.com/
    They have a lot of the features that Push has with the grid clip launch and scale key grid.

    The great thing about clip launch is that it allows you to set up loads of clips then jam with clips to get the best composition.
    This completely changed the way I used ableton live when stuff like the Launchpad, apps and push came out.
    It makes the software feel more like an instrument.

    if you have the cash and the spare time to make music then yes i'd buy one. it makes live a lot easier and quicker to use and you've got a lot of hands-on control where you can tweak multiple things at a time rather than one with a mouse.

    there's lots and lots of other controllers out there - believe me, I've had most of them but really settled on the push as it does everything and needs no setting up or automapping etc.
