Trump ends free trade agreements, likely driving up prices of imported goods. When the prices of everything his constituents buy at big box stores go up, they are going to be pissed. Maybe he should have made all those new jobs first...

    • In a way it's good. E.g., button up shirts should jot cost only $10 (H&M, Uniqlo et al). They are cheap because someone is getting fucked.wagshaft

    • If it's cheap textiles you're talking about, more than likely the person getting fucked is the worker in BangladeshBuddhaHat
    • Sounds good in theory but reality is those struggling go for cheapest option. So if you can't afford the increase in prices, you're going to struggle.BusterBoy
    • My view is that goods have become so cheap and disposable that we end up buying way more shit than we need. Maybe an increase in prices would be in good.wagshaft
    • It could help folks be more responsible and thoughtful about buying things. And hopefully the world is better for it. Wages, environment... maybe jobs.wagshaft
    • Agreed. It's been a race to the bottom on everything. Cheap Samsung TV's, cheap H&M clothes, cheap food, cheap cheap cheap. What does this really cost us?inteliboy
    • So we all agree this is going to cost Trump politically, when with his own peoplesarahfailin
