I have a fairly hands on job that skirts between 'professional white collar' and 'blue collar hands on drudgery', a bit of manual labour alongside admin and a a lot of computer work.
I have an eye on some automation options over the next 5 years, but only for the most menial of tasks.
Frankly, I find it hard to see how automation could replace mine and many other people I knows jobs.
Instead, I see those people and (hopefully) myself buying smarter hardware to be run by more people.
Automation in a functional capital market should lead to more and better jobs.
.
On the other hand, I'd not like to be a middling lawyer in a few years. .
