It's a bit of grief porn if you're into that kind of thing, but Patriot's Day about the Boston Marathon Bombing was quite well done. Featuring many actors attempting the Boston accent and not doing so well, but still a good watch.
Hidden Figures, about the African American women that worked behind the scenes at NASA prior to the US' first successful orbit in outer space was very well done. Janelle Monae is breathtakingly beautiful. Costner also does a good job, imo.
A Street Cat Named Bob was made based on the book of the same name, showing how a homeless junkie manages to survive getting clean with the help of a small fuzzy orange friend. There are a couple of tough moments, but ultimately it's a lovely film. There are a couple of touching verses in the main character's street performances as well. Watch with your missus, gf, wife, whatever. It's nice.
