I freelanced from 2013-2015. Most of the work I did was in motion graphics but some was in ad banner work. I'm not good at hunting down new work and clients so I made about 2/3 as much as when I was full time. A lot of the freelance gigs I picked up in motion graphics were very short term. It wasn't always easy to get into a steady groove but I paid my dues, got better and eventually got a good full time job about a year ago.
