    One of the first players to come into contact with the mythical Thargoids in Elite: Dangerous.

    They have been dropping various easter eggs and hints as they update the game - artifacts etc. They were the great white whale way back in the original BBC/C64 versions - only appearing while you travel in hyperspace.

    • I was watching this the other day thinking how amazing/terrifying it would be to experience this happening completely out of the blue.detritus
    • It minded me of a time I was playing Minecraft locally and I got the distinct impression I wasn't alone, which unnerved me for a second...detritus
    • ...but more to the point made me realise how cool/terrifying a scenario that would be, given it's such an encompassing universe, with you alone in there.detritus
