Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Canvasser: Hi, do you have a moment for Gay and transgender rights?
Me: No. Sorry I don't.
Her (HRC): ok, have a good day
Me: You too.
Fact of the matter is that I have more than a moment, and give to LGBT orgs across the city.
Why do they position their statement in such a way that make others feel bad for declining? Fuck that.
I appreciate the work they are doing, although I don't get why they have to be canvassing - it's a fucked your job and orgs need to think about better more efficient ways to help their cause. HRC has some issues though, so I've heard.
